Snowboarding Adventure in Kashmir: From Tatanagar to Gulmarg

Day 1 - 7th Jan 2022: The Journey Begins The excitement was building as I left Tatanagar at 11 PM, ready for an adventure of a lifetime. My first trip to Kashmir was about to begin. Boarding the train to Kolkata, my mind was already filled with images of snow-covered mountains and the thrilling experience of snowboarding in Gulmarg. The night passed quickly, my anticipation keeping me wide awake.

Day 2 - 8th Jan 2022: A Day of Delays The second day began early, with a 5:30 AM flight from Kolkata to Delhi. I reached Delhi by 8:30 AM and grabbed a quick breakfast at Subway. By this time, I was joined by my friend Kiran, and we were eager to head off to Srinagar. However, travel plans don’t always go as expected, and our flight to Srinagar got cancelled. We had no choice but to reschedule for the next day and spend the night in Delhi. We checked into a nearby hotel, disappointed yet still buzzing with the anticipation of the journey ahead.

Day 3 - 9th Jan 2022: Finally in Srinagar At 5:30 AM, our much-awaited flight from Delhi to Srinagar took off. As we landed around 9:30 AM, the moment I stepped off the plane, I was greeted by the breathtaking beauty of Srinagar. Crisp mountain air, snow-covered landscapes, and a serene atmosphere – it was everything I had imagined and more. After soaking in the view for a few minutes, Kiran and I decided to grab breakfast. We found a small café near the airport and indulged in some delicious aloo paratha.

Soon after, our taxi driver arrived to take us to Gulmarg. The journey from Srinagar to Gulmarg was enchanting, with scenic views of snow-clad valleys and forests. Every turn of the road made the excitement grow as we got closer to our destination, where five days of snowboarding fun awaited us!
